The only room in our new house that needed paint was Lola's room. It was very, very pink. Not just one shade of pink but two. I'm sure in about five years Lola will be begging for pink walls again but hopefully this blog post will help convince her to keep them white. Here are a couple of before pictures so that you can visualize ALL the PINK that was going on in her room.

We painted her room the same color as the rest of the house - SW Dover White. I prefer for all of the walls in the main rooms of this home to be white so that the architectural details stand out.
Something else that was a major improvement to her room was the window treatments. We took down the old blinds that were really nice and high quality but also old and rotting and traded them out for these roman shades from Walmart. They are my absolute favorites and I recommend them to anyone who is trying to come up with new window treatments. The curtains and curtain rods we already had from her old room and they added really great texture to her room. We were actually short two curtain panels but we decided to use one panel on the two smaller windows to make it feel like the room is framed out. I really like how it turned out! It is definitely a way to save money when you are trying to outfit a room with curtain panels!

Previously she didn't really have a lot of storage options for toys so we invested in one the of IKEA cube systems and it worked out perfectly. IKEA was out of their cute hyacinth baskets but I found these on Amazon that fit perfect and achieve the same look as the IKEA version. They were very comparable in price too! One of my personal favorite things we added to her room was this fun little bed canopy that we turned into a reading nook in the corner of her room. The kids absolutely love this cozy little space!

All of the pink french provincial furniture is family furniture that has been passed down for generations on my side of the family! I am so excited that Lola gets to use it now and I think it will transition well into her big girl room someday. Until then, she's got this adorable llama room that we all adore!

I always say that if you spruce up a space in your home your family will be attracted to it and enjoy it and Lola's room has proven that to be so true!
